The official website for voice actress/singer Maaya Sakamoto announced on September 25 that her double A-side 31st single "Dokuhaku ↔ Yakudou" is set to be released in two editions on December 9, 2020.

"Dokuhaku" (Monologue) will be featured as the theme song for the first part -Wandering; Agateram- of the upcoming two-part anime film Fate/Grand Order - Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot to open in Japanese theaters on December 15, 2019. Meanwhile, "Yakudou" (Throb) was already released digitally on August 11, 2019, and has been used as the third OP theme song for the smartphone game Fate/Grand Order.

The single's FGO edition will have a jacket with a newly drawn illustration by Takashi Takeuchi (Fate/stay night series original character designer), and its MAAYA edition will feature Sakamoto's newly-shot photo on its jacket.

Sakamoto streamed "Sakamoto Maaya × Fate/Grand Order 5th Anniversary Special Live" on August 10, 2020, and its footage will be included in the bonus Blu-ray of the single's FGO edition. From the bonus Blu-ray, a one-chorus performance of "Yakudou" is now streamed on her official YouTube channel.
