If you're going to be transported into a magical fantasy world, it's a good idea to make every moment of your normal life count, or at least that seems to be the lession in the ending animation for I'm Standing on a Million Lives (known in Japan as Hyakuman no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru), an upcoming TV anime based on the manga written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Akinari Nao about a directionless young man who finds himself in a parallel world.
The video (below) highlights the ending theme for the series, "Carpe Diem", which is performed by Liyuu.
The original I'm Standing on a Million Lives manga is serialized in Japan by Kodansha in their Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Kodansha Comics, who describe the story of the series as follows:
Ninth grader Yusuke Yotsuya is practical, friendless, and not active in any clubs. Then one day, he and two female classmates are suddenly sent to another world where they must work together to battle for their lives. Yotsuya is a lone wolf and has always lived his life according to his wants, but how will that work out now that he’s supposed to be a hero?! Get ready for a one-of-a-kind fantasy story that will challenge everything you thought you knew about fantasy!
The I'm Standing on a Million Lives TV anime is directed by Kumiko Habara and features animation production by Maho Film. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan on TOKYO MX, BS11, and Mainichi Broadcasting System beginning on October 02, 2020, with additional broadcasts to follow on AT-X beginning on October 05, 2020, and on WOWOW beginning on October 07, 2020.
