It's been a long road for Violet Evergarden: The Movie. With the first release date pushed back due to the Kyoto Animation arson attack, then again due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), it was finally announced during the rebroadcast of the final episode of the TV anime that the sequel anime film – separate from the Side-Story anime film that was released in Japan last September – will be released on September 18.
To celebrate the news, a new trailer was released previewing TRUE's theme song for the film 'WILL,' and the previous trailer was updated with the new release date.
For TRUE's theme song, the CD single for 'WILL' will be released on September 16 in Japan with a special piece of Violet Evergarden artwork.
