Great Pretender got an advance released on Netflix Japan on June 2, meaning streaming viewers overseas have already gotten to see some of the team's around-the-world antics. For its television premiere, though, series stars Chiaki Kobayashi (Makoto "Edamame" Edamura) and Junichi Suwabe (Laurent Thierry) will be taking part in an audio commentary during episodes 1 and 2. They will be joined by Kosawa during episode 1 and series director Hiro Kaburagi during episode 2.
Great Pretender follows Edamura on his journey from small-time con artist to partner of gentleman thief Thierry. The series begins its television run on July 8.
