The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Quro's four-panel slice-of-life manga Koisuru Asteroid (Asteroid in Love) announced today that it is set to premiere on AT-X, TOKYO MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, and BS11 on January 3, 2020.
An advance screening event for its first episode is scheduled to be held at United Cinema Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo at 13:00 on December 22. The anime's five main voice cast: Tomoyo Takayanagi (Mira Konohata), Megumi Yamaguchi (Ao Manaka), Maria Sashide (Mai Inose), Nao Yoyama (Mikage Sakurai), and Sumire Uesaka (Mari Morino) will appear for a talk show on the stage. In addition, Toyama will also perform the OP song "Aruiteikou!" (Let's walk on!) for the first time.
The anime's OP sung by Nao Toyama is scheduled to be released as her fourth single on February 5, 2020.

The story centers on the protagonist Mira Konohata, who promised to "find asteroids" with a boy she met at a camping site when she was a child. In high school, she wants to join the astronomy club, but from this year, it merges with the society for geological researches and now becomes the earth science club. Then she reunites with the boy she met and learns he is actually a girl named Ao Manaka. Ao has also remembered her promise with Mira, so the two start their activities at the club to fulfill their promise together.
Daisuke Hiramaki (Wataten!: An Angel Flew Down to Me) team attached to direct alongside series composition writer Yuka Yamada (Wataten!) and character designer Jun Yamazaki (Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!). Doga Kobo (How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?) works on anime production.
