Fantastic Journey Begins in Sorcerous Stabber Orphen TV Anime Trailer

Orphen faces his foes with a look of determination in a scene from the upcoming Sorcerous Stabber Orphen TV anime.

 

An action-packed new trailer, a new key visual, new cast members, and the Japanese broadcast schedule have been revealed for Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, an upcoming TV anime that celebrates the 25th anniversary of the series of fantasy light novels written by Yoshinobu Akita and illustrated by Yuuya Kusaka about a young man seeking to free his friend from a monstrous curse.

 

The new cast members include:

The original Sorcerous Stabber Orphen light novels are published in Japan by Fujimi Shobo, Kadokawa Shoten, and T.O Entertainment, and an English language version of the series is also available from J-Novel Club, who describe the story of Sorcerous Stabber Orphen as follows:

 

Orphen is a Sorcerer drop-out from the prestigious Tower of Fangs. His journey to save Azalie, a girl he looked up to like a sister, has brought him to the bustling city of Totokanta. Here they are reunited for the first time in five years. But what is the truth behind her monstrous transformation, and just what secrets lurk behind the Sword of Baldanders...?

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen is directed by Takayuki Hamana and features animation production by Studio Deen. The series will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule: 

 

  • AT-X: every Tuesday during the 23:00 time slot beginning on January 07, 2020.
  • BS Fuji: every Tuesday during the 24:30 time slot beginning on January 07, 2020.
  • Tokyo MX: every Wednesday during the 22:00 time slot beginning on January 08. 2020.
  • WOWOW: every Wednesday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on January 08, 2020.

 

Please not that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 24:30 time slot on Tuesday evening is actually on Wednesday morning at 12:30am JST.
