Masami Obari Helms Amaim Warrior at the Borderline New Series "Kyokko no Souki"

 

 

The official website for the Kyoukai Senki / AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline sci-fi mecha anime franchise today unveiled its new series, Kyoukai Senki: Kyokko no Souki. No details yet on when it will be broadcast or streamed. The original TV series animated by SUNRISE BEYOND was aired for two seasons with a total of 25 episodes in 2021 and 2022. All episodes are available on Crunchyroll.

 

A 20-second teaser PV for the new series is now streamed on the site and Twitter.

 

 

 

 

In place of the original series' Nobuyoshi Habara, acclaimed anime director/robot designer Masami Obari is newly attached to direct the new series. He has worked on a numerous number of Japanese robot anime series since the 1980s. His directorial works include Ordian (2000), Gravion (2002, 2004), Dancouga Nova (2007), and Super Robot Wars OG (2010). His distinctive drawing style is often praised as "Bari-Mecha" among anime fans.
