The One Piece official website revealed earlier today that the four-member rock band I Don't Like Mondays will be performing the new opening theme song to over 1,000 episodes long adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's manga series when the song changes in January 2022.

I Don't Like Mondays will be performing "PAINT," which begins as the One Piece opening theme song on the January 9 broadcast of the series. On the same day, the single will be released on music streaming service platforms, though it isn't confirmed if the release is just for Japan or the rest of the world is included too.
One Piece recently broadcast its 1,001st episode of the TV anime, with all the episodes streaming right here on Crunchyroll weekly as they air in Japan.
