
Royal Space Force - The Wings of Honnêamise, a 1987 theatrical anime film directed by Hiroyuki Yamaga and animated by Gainax and Bandai Visual, is celebrating its 35th anniversary, and now Section23 Films and Bandai Namco Filmworks are teaming up to distribute the film in a deluxe, 3-disc 4K remastered Blu-ray boxed set in both Japan and North America.
Section23 will distribute the Japanese special edition of the boxed set, which comes with English subtitles, an English language dub, and numerous special features. The North American release will coincide with the Japanese release. It retails for $129.98 US and it will be published on November 04, 2022.

The Royal Space Force is established in Honnêamise - a fictional kingdom on a fictional planet. Although the force boasts 30 years of history, they haven't been able to achieve solid results; people and the government have given up on them, seeing the force as a burden. Shirotsugh Lhadatt, the protagonist, is a member of the Royal Space Force, which far from their dreams have gone into idleness.
One day, Shirotsugh meets Riqunni, a girl who preaches God's word, and his destiny drastically changes, leading him to volunteer to be a space pilot...
