On the birthday of Ryo Sanada / Rekka no Ryo, one of the five protagonist boys in Sunrise's classic hero action TV anime in 1988-1989, Yoroiden Samurai Trooper (Ronin Warriors or Samurai Troopers in the West), a special music video for the anime's second opening theme song "Samurai Heart" newly sung by Ryo's original VA Takeshi Kusao is now streamed on SUNRISE Music's official YouTube channel.

As reported, the song entitled "Samurai Heart ~Rekka~" was released digitally worldwide on January 31, 2022, along with "Samurai Heart ~2022~," a self-cover version of the song sung by the original singer Hiroko Moriguchi. Thanks to the positive response to the digital release, a physical CD single including the two songs has been decided. Further details such as release date will be announced later.
The music video features character illustrations of the five protagonist boys - Ryo Sanada, Touma Hashiba, Seiji Date, Shin Mouri, and Xiu Li Huang - newly drawn by Ken Muzuki, who worked as the anime's official illustrator at the time.
