Oh!Great's Bakemonogatari Manga Adaptation Gets Special Anime PV Produced by Shaft

 

 

Today, on the release day of its latest 16th tankobon volume in Japan, Kodansha's official Magazine YouTube channel posted a three-minute special anime PV for the manga adaptation of Nisio Isin's Bakemonogatari fantasy light novel. All of the main staff and the VAs from the 2009 TV anime return. Shaft, which has worked on all of the anime adaptations of Nishio's Monogatari series, produced the clip, with Akiyuki Shinbo directing.

 

The adaptation illustrated by Oh!Great (Tenjho Tenge, Air Gear) has been serialized in the publisher's Weekly Shonen Magazine since March 2018. He says on Twitter, "It's a big incident! You know what? Shaft has made a PV for us! Director Shinbo's unique rhythm and Watanabe's character, this is truly Bakemonogatari. It's so cool! Listening to it this way, the voice actors are once again a miraculous lineup... The last 20 seconds give me goosebumps!"
