Hikaru Utada Revisits Kingdom Hearts Moments in Face My Fears MV

Kingdom Hearts Cloud Version

The Kingdom Hearts games' "cloud versions" go live today, bringing the Disney/Square Enix mashup series to the Nintendo Switch. To celebrate, and to highlight the series's 20th anniversary, Hikaru Utada has released a new music video on YouTube — bringing together major moments from the game series with a new version of Kingdom Hearts III theme "Face Your Fears."

The song appears three times on Utada's latest album, BAD MODE: an English version, a Japanese version, and the "A.G. Cook Remix." A.G. Cook produced two other songs on the album: "One Last Kiss" and "Kimini Muchuu." The new spin on the song, originally performed by Utada and Skrillex, comes to life in this music video from REAL ROCK DESIGN.

(Warning: Video contains flashing lights and rapid cuts.)

The original release of "Face My Fears" charted in the U.S. Billboard Top 100 on release. The digital debut of BAD MODE, meanwhile, ranked #1 in Japan on digital charts upon release, with significant popularity in countries around the world. You'll be able to grab the CD edition on February 23, and listen to all three versions of Utada's hit.
