The special episodes of Fruits Basket -prelude- anime released in theatres in Japan on February 18, as well as on Blu-ray in cinema shops where it is showing, and even though the story is only showing on 25 screens across Japan, it has done pretty well for itself.
In the first two days of release, the omnibus feature which features new stories featuring Tohru's parents and her life with Kyo after the events of the Fruits Basket TV anime, brought in over 33 million yen (US$287,000) on the back of 20,000 tickets sold. While it was only shown on 25 screens, the feature will be continuing through the week in theaters in Japan.

The prequel story, Fruits Basket -prelude-, was released alongside a digest of the series as well as the sequel story on February 18, 2022. A Blu-ray of the stories will be released on the same day in theater shops in Japan. The entire three seasons of Fruits Basket are streaming right now on Crunchyroll, which describes the series as such:
Tohru Honda thought her life was headed for misfortune when a family tragedy left her living in a tent. When her small home is discovered by the mysterious Soma clan, she suddenly finds herself living with Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Soma.
