Ahead of the start of Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 on January 9, the staff behind the series decided to share how the now-iconic key visual of Eren and his memories were pathed out in a making-of video showing the process from the image being conceived to the finished visual.

Part 1 of Attack on Titan Final Season streamed on Crunchyroll as it aired in Japan on NHK-G from December 2020 to March 2021, with part 2 premiering on NHK-G on January 9 at 24:05 (effectively January 10 at 12:05 AM). The cast and staff from the Final Season Part 1 are set to return at MAPPA, with Crunchyroll continuing to stream the series,
