The final episode of the Pokémon Evolutions web anime launched just before Christmas as a present from the video game company to the rest of us – thanks Pokémon! The episode is inspired by the events at the end of the Pokémon Let's Go! games, featuring Green on her journey to beat out the player character to capture the best Pokémon in the region.
Masato Takeuchi returns to Pokémon Evolutions after helming the Unova episode of the series as both the storyboarder and director with Kairi Unabara designing the characters for “The Discovery” and acting as the animation director. Unabara has previously worked on a bunch of adorable commercials in Japan, with their only anime credit at this time being an assistant animation director and key animator on The Heike Story.
