Two Sword Boys Strike Pose in Moeyo Ken & Touken Danshi Collaboration Visual

In commemoration of the upcoming theatrical release of the live-action film Moeyo Ken (Baragaki: Unbroken Samurai), a special collaboration visual between the film and the popular online web browser game Touken Danshi -Online- is revealed today.

The film is based on Ryotaro Shiba's 1964 novel of the same name, which tells the life of Toshizo Hijikata, the vice-commander of the Shinsengumi in the Bakumatsu era in Japan. The visual features two sword boys inspired by Hijikata's favorite swords - Izuminokami Kanesada (uchigatana/main sword) and Horikawa Kunihiro (wakizashi/sub sword). Kanesada holds his sword bravely, while Kunihiro holds the original novel book "Moeyo Ken" by Shiba. They are newly drawn by their original character designer Shiramine.

Along with the film's main poster, this collaboration visual will be displayed in the COREDO Muromachi facility in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, and surrounding areas from September 1 to October 17. The Masato Harada (Gunhed)-directed film will open in Japan on October 15.
