Following the well-received first two episodes, the final third episode of Yoru no Kuni / Night World, the Ryotimo (Ryosuke Sawa)-directed original web anime project featuring songs by Aimer, is set to be posted on YouTube at 23:00 (JST) / 07:00 (PST) on September 12, 2021. Also, prior to the release on YouTube, it will be screened in advance at "Aimer 10th Anniversary Live in SAITAMA SUPER ARENA 'night world'" to be held on September 11 and 12.
The first episode was posted on Aimer's official YouTube channel on April 16, then the second episode followed on June 4. Each episode has been watched 600,000 times and 15 times so far.
A 50-second trailer for the third episode introduces a new protagonist named Aki, voiced by M.A.O (Shion in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). Aki has given up on her own dream and is having trouble finding a job. During the process of moving, she tries to get rid of all the tools related to her dream. However, among the memorabilia, she finds a letter with an unknown address. M.A.O says, "With Aimer's wonderful music and beautiful, soft-touch visuals, I think this anime is very fantastic and will gently envelop you. I hope that Aki-chan's 'letter' will take on various forms and reach the hearts of those who watch it!"
Aimer, who sings the theme song, had this to say about the third episode, "Finally, the third night will be released. I couldn't stop crying for a while after watching this story. It makes me want to believe that I had met Yoru in the land of the night a long time ago, just because I couldn't remember. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to director Ryotimo, everyone at studio daisy, and everyone else involved. This is the last night of the original anime project 'Night World.' I hope to see it through with you all."
