The official website for TSUKIPRO THE ANIMATION 2 and the website for anime studio PRA revealed last night that multiple staff core members on the series have contracted COVID-19, making production difficult. The TSUKIPRO website states that "it is expected that the production will be significantly delayed" so it was decided that the series will be postponed starting from episode 9, with episodes of the first season aired in place of what would have been the final four episodes.

TSUKIPRO THE ANIMATION 2 is set to start back up in October, with episodes 9 to 13 scheduled to air in December. There's no mention of the condition of the staff members who have contracted COVID-19, nor if they are in hospital or receiving at home, though the TSUKIPRO website does mention they are receiving treatment in isolation.
A pre-screening event for the final episode in September has been changed to a retrospective talk for the episodes that have already been broadcast.
The second season of TSUKIPRO THE ANIMATION began in July after being first revealed in December 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the first season, while Sentai Filmworks grabbed the rights for the second season. Crunchyroll describes the anime as such:
SOARA, Growth, SolidS, and QUELL are four groups belonging to Tsukino Entertainment Production (AKA TSUKIPRO). The slice of life music anime "PRO ANI" depicting their music overflowing with uniqueness and the drama surrounding their lives begins now! Will you open this glittering treasure box of music?
