The announcement in April for a Deaimon anime
After being announced in April, the TV anime adaptation of Rin Asano's Deaimon sweets manga series was officially revealed today in the first visual of the series, leading cast, main staff members, and a 2022 broadcast. The series follows Nagomu Irino, who moves back to Kyoto after a decade to take over his family's confectionery shop but soon learns that instead, he has to be a father figure to Itsuka Yukihara, who has been named the successor of the family business.

Voicing the two lead characters are: Nobunaga Shimazaki, known for voicing Yuki Soma in Fruits Basket (2019), is bringing Nagumo Irino to life, with Kozue Yuki voicing Itsuka Yukihara in her first leading role as a voice actor.
Fumitoshi Oizaki (Romeo × Juliet) is directing Deaimon at Encourage Films, where Oizaki is also the CEO, with Reiko Yoshida (Violet Evergarden) writing the scripts, and Sakae Shibuya (Girl Friend Site) as the character designer and animation director. The company Midorimatsu is also helping to produce the anime series.
More information on Deaimon will be announced at the series' panel at Kyoto Internation Manga and Anime Fair on September 18.
