Visual Adaptation of Akira Toriyama's SAND LAND Manga Confirms Its 2023 Release

 

 

Following the first teaser posted early this month, it is officially confirmed today that a visual adaptation of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama's SAND LAND manga is now in the works for a release in 2023.

 

The anime project's official website has been opened along with a new teaser trailer to introduce its anime footage for the first time, and announced that Sunrise, Kaimikaze Douga, and ANIMA co-work on anime production.

Akira Toriyama's SAND LAND manga was published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between May and August 2000, eventually collected in a single volume that made its way over in English in 2003.

 

Story:

 

In a desert world where both demons and humans suffer from an extreme water shortage, Beelzebub, the prince of demons, and Rao, a small-town sheriff, form a tag-team and set off on an adventure in search of the Phantom Lake somewhere in the desert.
