Two more cast members have been announced for Malevolent Spirits: Monogatari, an upcoming TV anime based on the supernatural action manga by Onigunsou about a young man who may have to learn to work with the otherworldly spirits whom he is tasked with hunting down. The new cast members (pictured below, from left to right) include:
- Kai voiced by Taiten Kusunoki.
- And Itsuki voiced by Azusa Tadokoro.

The original Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari manga is serialized in Shueisha's Ultra Jump manga magazine, and an English language version is also in-development from Seven Seas Entertainment. Crunchyroll describes the story of Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari as follows:
Filled with rage against spirits known as tsukumogami, Kunato Hyoma is sent to live with Nagatsuki Botan to help him see a different side. Though both are part of a clan that return the spirits back to their world with divine powers, their experiences with the otherworldly vessels are vastly different. Kunato, robbed of a loved one, and Nagatsuki, saved by them. Can she get through to him?

The Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari TV anime is directed by Ryuichi Kimura and features animation production by Bandai Namco Pictures. The series is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on TOKYO MX and BS11 beginning on January 09, 2023, with an additional broadcast to follow on AT-X beginning on January 12, 2023, and it will also stream on Crunchyroll in worldwide markets (except Asia) as part of the winter 2023 anime simulcast lineup.
