Ten Count Boys' Love Anime Reveals Theatrical Plans, Teaser Visual

We finally have some details on the Ten Count anime, which was originally planned for 2020 and aims to adapt the boys' love manga by Rihito Takarai. The project has been confirmed as an anime film that has its sights on a 2023 premiere, and its leads are front and center on a new teaser visual.

Sou Toyama is directing the anime film, with Tomomi Shimazaki handling character designs for the East Fish Studio x SynergySP production. Shinnosuke Tachibana (Tomoe from Kamisama Hajimemashita) and Tomoaki Maeno (Abeno from The Morose Mononokean ) provide the voices of Tadaomi Shirotani and Riku Kurose, respectively.

 

 

 

VIZ Media has published all of Ten Count under its SuBLime label, describing the first volume like so:

 

Corporate secretary Shirotani suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder. One day he meets Kurose, a therapist who offers to take him through a ten-step program to cure him of his compulsion. As the two go through each of the ten steps, Shirotani’s attraction to his counselor grows.
