Anime and musicals are about to come together in a whole new way with "FLAGLIA", a new mixed-media project that was just revealed as an original dual production linking the two mediums.
A visual for the anime was released, along with staff and cast details for both projects.

Based on an original story by Madoka Takadono (Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist) and character drafts by Zihuatanejo (After Work manga), the anime is being directed by Itsuro Kawasaki (The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting) at Studio Gaina alongside Erika Ito (LOVE and LIES) as animation character designer.
The musical, titled "FLAGLIA THE MUSICAL ~Yukitekareishi Monogatari~" and directed by Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi, will run from February 3 to February 9 next year at Tokyo's Nippon Seinen-kan Hall, starring Yoshikuni Dochin, Yoonhak, Toshiki Seto, Waku Sakaguchi, Shotaro Okubo, Tatsuya Tomoishi, Kenji Sakamoto and nine members of Japanese-South Korean boy band NIK.
Yoshikuni Dochin and Yoonhak are confirmed to also be starring in the anime, which will be set in the present day while the musical is set in the Middle Ages. Additional details, such as broadcast date and format, are yet to be revealed.
