A May 16 opening date was recently revealed for the given anime film, which was announced back at the end of the TV anime's broadcast run. Now, to make the wait even harder for fans, the official website and Twitter account shared a brief promo.

The cast and staff from the TV anime at Lerche return for the film. Crunchyroll simulcasted the given TV anime as it aired from July 11, 2019, to September 19, 2019, and describes it as:
Somehow, the guitar that he used to love to play and the basketball games that he found so fun just lost their appeal... That was until Ritsuka Uenoyama randomly met Mafuyu Sato. Ritsuka had started losing his passion for music in his everyday life, but then he hears Mafuyu sing for the first time. The song resonates with his heart and the distance between them starts to change.
