The latest project from Lucky Star creator Kagami Yoshimizu premieres next month, and its stars are already rocking out in a new key visual!
Maesetsu! -opening act- follows two duos of young women as they make their way to stand-up stardom. The show will feature multiple teams, including real-world comedians appearing as themselves in cameos.

Kadokawa's Comptiq Magazine will be running a novelization of the series starting in the mag's February issue, which will be released in Japan on January 10, 2020.
There are also two live events planned around the premiere. First up is a collaboration with Saitama's Washinomiya Shrine. Series writer Shouta Gotou will be appearing for an hour-long talk. The event will take place New Year's Eve at 10 pm, and is free to the public.
Secondly, Tokyo's Asagaya LOFT A music venue will be hosting the staff of Maesetsu! for a talk show event. Also in attendance will be Junji Tomita and Ubu no Hatsuna of Freak!, one of the real-world comedy duos appearing as themselves in the series. The event will take place January 17.
Maesetsu! -opening act- premieres on January 7.
