Explore a Psychic Landscape in the OP Animation for "pet" TV Anime

Hiroki and Tsukasa explore a mental landscape in which flower petals rain from an aurora-filled sky in a scene from the upcoming pet TV anime.

The opening animation sequence has been published for pet, an upcoming TV anime based on the psychic thriller manga by Ranjou Miyake about a group of criminal psychics who have the power to enter other peoples' minds and manipulate their memories. The video (below) features the song "Chou no Tobu Suizou" ("An Aquarium Where Butterflies Fly"), which is performed by TK from Ling tosite Sigure.

The story of pet follows a group of psychics that have the power to telepathically dive into the minds of other people in order to manipulate their memories. This power is often used for hiding the evidence of crimes (such as assassination), and it corrupts the hearts of those who wield it. The people who practice this fearful ability are known as "pets", a term of loathing and contempt. Hiroki and Tsukasa are two such "pets" who share a special connection, but a secret organization known as "The Company" takes advantage of their bond and uses them for nefarious purposes.

Adrift in a psychedelic mind-scape, Hiroki, Tsukasa, and Satoru dive deep into another person's mind in a key visual for the pet TV anime.

Originally published by Shogakukan, the Pet: Remaster Edition manga is currently published in Japan by Kadokawa under their Beam Comic imprint. The pet TV anime is directed by Takahiro Omori and features animation production by Geno Studio. The series will broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS11, and AT-X beginning on January 06, 2020, and it will also be digitally distributed on Amazon Prime Video in Japan and other world markets.
