In addition to the TV anime second season, Atsushi Ohkubo (Soul Eater)'s dark battle fantasy manga Enn Enn no Shouboutai / Fire Force will also get its stage play adaptation in Osaka and Kanagawa in the summer of 2020.
The play's offcial website has launched with a teaser visual and a 15-second announcement CM introducing its leading cast, 24-year-od Hikaru Makishima (Kaoru Kaido in The Prince of Tennis musicals) as the protagonist Shinra Kusakabe.
Makishima writes on his official Twitter today, "I have loved reading the manga by the author, Okubo-san, a lot, so I am very happy and looking forward to playing Shinra. How can we express that world? I'm sure it will be a powerful stage. Everyone, look forward to it!"
Further details including other cast members, ticket information, and how the fire is recreated on the stage, will be announced at a later date.
