Written by Bokuto Uno and featuring illustrations by Ruria Miyuki, the first volume of the series released in September 2018 with the 11th volume released in March. A manga adaptation by Sakae Esuno is also serialized in Shonen Ace magazine, with the sixth volume released in September 2022. The anime adaptation is currently scheduled to begin its broadcast in July 2023. Yen Press publishes the series in English and describes the series:
Springtime at Kimberly Magic Academy, when new students begin their first year. One boy, clad in black robes with a white cane and sword strapped to his hip, approaches the prestigious school. This young man—Oliver—must form a bond with a katana wielding girl named Nanao if he's to survive the dangers he's to face at this school that is anything but what it seems!
