The official Japanese website for the forthcoming live-action film Knights of the Zodiac, based on Masami Kurumada's classic Saint Seiya manga, announced today that it is finally set to be released in Japan on April 28, 2023. Its Japanese title is Saint Saiya The Beginning.
A 30-second first Japanese teaser trailer introduces Mackenyu (Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist, Roronoa Zoro in One Piece) as the protagonist Seiya. This is his first lead role in a Hollywood film.

The Tomasz Baginski (The Witcher)-directed live-action Knights of the Zodiac film is also set to be released worldwide in 2023. The film also stars Madison Iseman, Sean Bean, Famke Janssen, Nick Stahl, Diego Tinoco, and Mark Dacascos.
