The official YouTube channel for Sparkleling and Storytelling's co-produced web anime project "UNTITLED MAGICAL GIRL" has posted its third episode "Starry Magical Girl Act III" featuring its theme song "Koisuru Mahou Shoujo☆" (A Magical Girl in Love) sung by voice actress/ singer Hiroko Kasahara.
The project was launched in April to depict "struggles of new magical girls who are not bound by the values and common sense created by someone else, but who stand up for themselves and pursue their own ideal images and happiness." The first episode "Act I" posted on April 21 introduced the prologue of its story, then the second episode "Act II" posted on June 10 showed off the protagonist Konomi Minamino's transformation into a magical girl. Konomi is voiced by Yukina Shuto (Shizuku Hyodo in IDOLY PRIDE)
Hiroko Kasahara is best known as Tama in the Tama and Friends anime series and the theme song singer for Magical Angel Sweet Mint and Mobile Police Patlabor in the 1990s. She says, "When I received this song, I thought it sounded like my favorite idol song that I had been humming for a long time even though I had never heard it before. I've been longing to be a magical girl since I was a child, and I have the image of a magical girl whose mission is to make everyone's small wishes come true. I hope that small happiness will reach you through UNTITLED MAGICAL GIRL!"
