The official Twitter account for the Fruits Basket: The Final Season TV anime has announced on Monday that a spin-off focusing on Tohru's parents titled "Kyoko to Katsuya no Monogatari" (The Story of Kyoko and Katsuya) is currently in production for a release in 2022, with the format to be determined. In addition, a new stage play is also in development also planned for a premiere in 2022.
