Naoya Matsumoto, the manga creator behind the hit Shonen Jump+ manga series Kaiju No. 8, announced on Twitter last Friday that the series will be moving to a fortnightly schedule "for a while." The series has previously been released every Friday on the digital Shonen Jump+ platform but after the 38th chapter, which released last Friday, new chapters will only be released once every two weeks.

Matsumoto apologized to fans in the Tweet and only said that the move is due to "schedule adjustments." With only three volumes of the series being collected and released so far, Kaiju No. 8 has already printed (physically) and sold (digitally) over 3 million copies, making it the fastest-selling manga from the Shonen Jump+ platform ever. The 4th volume scheduled to be released in Japan on September 4.
Viz Media is simulpubbing the series on their Shonen Jump service and releasing the first volume in English in Fall 2021. They describe it as such:
Kafka wants to clean up kaiju, but not literally! Will a sudden metamorphosis stand in the way of his dreams?
