New Demon Slayer Goods Give the Corps a Modern Makeover

  The cast of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba  will be looking thoroughly modern at their new pop-up shop!   Starting today, anime goods maker AmiAmi will be hosting a shop in Akihabara, featuring a variety of goods from the popular ufotable series. Among them will be Kimetsu Modern, a new line that reimagines the Taisho-era heroes in modern fashion.   The 13 new chibi designs include contemporary looks for Tanjiro, Nezuko, and more. Each will be available on a wide variety of goods, including (but nowhere near limited to) trading pins, mini blankets, charms, mugs, purses, acrylic stands, and clear files:     The goods will be available exclusively at AmiAmi's pop-up shop until March 15, though pre-orders are also open on the AmiAmi website. Sakura Wars Story Trailer Takes Us to 1940s Steampunk Tokyo

  In addition to the New Sakura Wars anime , the long-running game series is getting a reboot in the form of a new Sakura Wars game. Game Developers Conference 2020 Postponed Until Summer

  In recent weeks, more and more studios and exhibitors have been pulling out of this year's Game Developers Conference (GDC 2020) , which was set to be held in San Francisco from March 16 to 20. In light of these cancelations—which come along with growing concerns over the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus—GDC 2020 has officially been postponed until this summer .   Gamasutra, which is a sibling organization to GDC under parent company Informa Tech, posted about the updated plans yesterday. While details still need to be finalized, GDC reps say they "fully intend to host a GDC event later in the summer."   Sony and Facebook were among the biggest exhibitors to cancel GDC 2020 plans, followed by similar exits from the likes of Microsoft, Kojima Productions , Amazon, Blizzard, and more.     Those who need more info can check out the official site's FAQ page . VIDEO: Asteroid in Love VAs Go to Geological Museum in Ibaraki

    As reported,  Tomoyo Takayanagi (Mira Konohata) and Megumi Yamaguchi (Ao Manaka) visited JAXA's Tsukuba Space Center , Geological Museum , and The Science Museum of Map and Survey in Ibaraki Prefecture for the bonus footage to be included in the three DVD/Blu-ray volumes of the Koisuru Asteroid / Asteroid in Love TV anime. Those three facilities were also visited by the anime characters in the fourth episode.   Following the first clip introducing JAXA, the anime's official website has posted a three-minute preview video for the two's Geological Museum tour for the DVD/Blu-ray second volume to be released on April 24. In the clip, they found a 4.98-carat diamond, the heart-shaped quartz that appeared in the anime story, and Allosaurus' fossil footprint.         Meanwhile, the newly-drawn digi-pack illustration drawn by the anime's character designer Jun Yamazaki is revealed for its March 25, 2020 release in Japan. ...

"MANGA ⇔TOKYO" Exhibition Returns to The National Art Center, Tokyo This Summer

    The National Art Center, Tokyo has announced the "MANGA Toshi TOKYO Nippon no Manga, Anime, Game, Tokusatsu 2020" exhibition will be held from July 8 to September 22, 2020. It is a triumphant return exhibition of the "MANGA ⇔TOKYO" exhibition, which was held in Paris, France, from November to December 2018, as one of the official programs of "Japonismes 2018: les âmes en résonance," an extensive cultural season to showcase the unrevealed beauty of Japanese culture in France.    About 90 different manga, anime, games and tokusatsu series related to Tokyo will be selected and more than 500 materials from them, such as original drawings, production items, and videos will be displayed. First-person Anime OneRoom to Return for Its Third Season in 2020

    It is officially announced today that the third season of the five-minute short anime series OneRoom is in the works for a premiere in 2020. Its first season featuring three different heroines was aired for 12 episodes (four episodes for each heroine) from January to March 2017, then its second season featuring another three girls followed with 12 episodes from July to September 2018. Lina Looks Gorgeous on Megumi Hayashibara's Slayers 30th Anniversary CD Jacket

      52-year-old anime voice actress/singer Megumi Hayashibara   has posted a CD jacket illustration for "Slayers MEGUMIXXX (Mugumix Kiss)," the forthcoming three-disc special album for the 30th anniversary of Hajime Kanzaka's internationally popular fantasy light novel series Slayers , on her official blog.   The gorgeous visual featuring the protagonist Lina Inverse is, of course, drawn the novel illustrator Rui Araizumi . She is surrounded by her favorite treasures and is kissing a jewel after the title of the album.           Hayashibara has voiced Lina Inverse since its first TV anime in 1995 and has performed the theme songs for its TV anime, OVA, and film series. GDC Postponed Due To Coronavirus Concerns; E3 Organizer The ESA 'Watching The Situation Very Closely'

The Game Developers Conference, which was set to take place March 16 to 20 in San Francisco, Calif. has been postponed by its organizers Informa due to concerns surrounding the global spread of the coronavirus COVID-19. The conference, which started in 1988, draws attendance from an international pool of developers, publishers, press, and more. The official website and Twitter for Earth Star Entertainment's light novel imprint Earth Star Novel announced on February 28 that FUNA's comedy fantasy series Watashi, Noryoku wa Heikinchi dette Ittayone!/Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! has exceeded one million copies in print, becoming its first one million-seller.   Under the concept of "Books that adults can enjoy, books that would be great if you could find them on your bookshelf," the imprint was established in December 2014. The prototype of the My Abilities Average novel was first posted on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in January 2016, then Earth Star Novel started publishing its print edition in May of the same year. Railgun T Episode 8 Delayed, Specials to Air on March 6 and 13

  Following the news about episode 7, the latest chapter of the A Certain Scientific Railgun T anime has also been delayed.
