In addition to the anime feature film, a stage play adaptation of Koyoharu Gotoge's dark fantasy shonen manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is also set to be performed in Tokyo and Hyogo in January 2020. The news was revealed in this year's 44th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump released today in Japan. The manga has been serialized in the magazine since February 2016, and has printed more than 12 million copies.
Kenichi Suemitsu, well known for his works for the Touken Ranbu stage play series since 2016, is attached to write and direct. And Wada Shunsuke, recently worked on the Hyper Projection Play Haikyu!! series, provides music. Sales of advance tickets will be first available on the Shonen Jump+ website.
