Gunma-chan is a short form TV anime that follows the magical adventures of the adorable regional mascot of Gunma Prefecture, and it's getting ready to return for more. Animation production company Ascension announced that work has commenced on a second season, and information about jobs is available on the company's website.

For those just learning about this delightful little series, here's the non-credit OP/ED from the first season, starting with opening theme "SWITCH!", as performed in-character by Gunma-chan (CV: Karin Takahashi), Aoma (CV: Aya Uchida) and Mimi (CV: Yui Ogura):

The Gunma-chan TV anime is directed by Mitsuru Hongo and features animation production by Ascension. The first season aired for 39 episodes on TOKYO MX, Television Kanagawa, Television Saitama, Chiba TV, Gunma Television, Tochigi TV, Sun TV, and Kyoto Broadcasting System starting in October of 2021.
