If you like Deathloop or The Forgotten City, then we recommend that you check out Outer Wilds. This inventive time loop game from Mobius Digital places you into the spacesuit of a brave traveler who sets off to explore the solar system. While the title wasn't for everyone, many found it a phenomenal adventure that was bold enough to let you explore at your own pace to slowly uncover a larger mystery.

Mobius Digital has just released a follow-up expansion called Echoes Of The Eye. With this new content, players discover a new exhibit inside the observatory exhibit that points them to a satellite on the galaxy's outer rim. If you follow this breadcrumb, you'll eventually discover a whole new Halo-like ringworld, complete with brand new puzzles, story beats, and mysteries to solve. Watch us explore some of those beats in this New Gameplay Today.

In our review of the original game, Javy Gwaltney said, "At the end of it all, I admire a lot about Outer Wilds. The entire world operating on that 20-minute timer is a fascinating theatrical accomplishment of craftsmanship, but I find it more fun to think about than to play. A lot of ideas linger here, some of them beautifully executed, others slipshod and pushing against each other. I love roaming inside the bellies of mysterious planets, but don't like how the urgency of the timer undercuts my exploration. I have left Outer Wilds' galaxy feeling as much exhaustion as satisfaction, but also with a list of several enchanting interstellar moments."

Echoes of the Eye releases today for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Since this is an expansion, you do need to own Outer Wilds to play Echoes of the Eye, but it will only set you back $15. Also, it's more great Outer Wilds content. Read our full hands-on impressions here.
