Animals are Amazing in Heaven's Design Team TV Anime Trailer

 

Playing god isn't all that it's cracked up to be in a new trailer for Heaven's Design Team (known as Tenchisozo Design Bu in Japan), an upcoming TV anime based on the office comedy manga written by Hebi-Zou and Tsuta Suzuki and illustrated by Tarako about a group of heavenly designers who are tasked with helping the Almighty create the Animal Kingdom.

 

 

The original Heaven's Design Team manga is serialized in Kodansha's Morning Two manga magazine, and an English language version of the series is published in the U.S. by Kodansha Comics, who describe the story of the series as follows:

 

In Heaven’s Animal Design Department, designers create a variety of new animals daily while contending with the unreasonable requests of their client: God. Funny, interesting, and full of useful information, this series answers questions such as, “Why can’t unicorns exist?”, “What makes an animal taste delicious?”, “What’s the most powerful creature in the ocean?”, and, “Bird versus snake: who would win?” You won’t believe it’s a manga series when you read up on the featured animals in the included encyclopedia entries. Heaven’s Design Team will make your next trip to the zoo or aquarium 100 times more fun!

 

 

Heaven's Design Team is directed by Sôichi Masui and features animation production by Asahi Production. The series will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:

 

• TOKYO MX: every Thursday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on January 07, 2021.
• Mainchi Broadcasting System: every Friday during the 26:55 time slot beginning on January 08, 2021.
• TV Aichi: every Saturday during the 25:50 time slot beginning on January 09, 2021.
• AT-X: every Thursday during the 23:30 time slot beginning on January 07, 2021, with repeat broadcasts on Monday at 11:30 and Wednesday at 17:30.
• BS Fuji: every Friday during the 24:30 time slot beginning on January 08, 2021.

 

Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 26:55 time slot on Friday evening is actually at 2:55am JST on Saturday morning.
