The official website for popular anime voice actress Ayaka Ohashi announced today that her next concert is set to be held at Makuhari Messe Event Hall (capacity: 9,000) on May 1, 2021. It will be her first solo concert to be held at an arena-sized venue in her six-year career as a solo singer. The largest venue to date is the National Convention Hall of Yokohama (capacity 5,002), where she performed in 2018 and 2019.
Ohashi is best known as the voices of Ran Shibuki in Aikatsu!, Uzuki Shimamura in The Idolm@star Cinderella Girls, and Saaya Yamabuki in BanG Dream! (and the drummer of the VA band for the show, Poppin'Party). Meanwhile, she made her solo singer debut in August 2014, then has released nine CD singles and two albums so far.
Message from Ayaka Ohashi:
I'm very happy that my first solo concert in about a year and a half is decided! It will be my first arena show, so I'm very excited about it. Now I have ten more new songs, so it's going to be challenging to decide the setlist. It will also be the first concert after releasing my latest third album "WINGS," and I want to make the live performance worthy of my sixth year as a solo singer. There's still a long way to go, but until then, please listen to my albums and singles a lot! Let's have fun together!
Her latest third full album "WINGS" is set to be released in Japan on December 16, 2020. You can check out a five-minute music video for the lead tarck from the album, "START DASH," below.
