Universal Studios Japan today announced that the previously delayed opening to Super Nintendo Land will now be happening on February 4, 2021. The press release for the announcement showed off two of the areas that will be opening with the park, the Mario Kart - Bowsers Challenge - ride, and the inside of Bowser's Castle, which features a giant statue of King Koopa himself.
The Mario Kart ride is said to be AR, with goggles worn by each rider as they go through an on-rails ride. The press release says the ride and the surrounding fixtures have been faithfully recreated from the game and housed deep inside Bowser's Castle.
The park inside Universal Studios Japan was originally scheduled to open last July but got pushed to Spring 2021 due to COVID-19, but now is opening a little earlier in February.
