Two new cast members, a new trailer, and the Japanese broadcast schedule have been revealed for Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World (known in Japan as Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Arui wa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of fantasy light novels written by Kei Sazane and illustrated by Ao Nekonabe about the leaders of a pair of powerful rival nations falling in love on the battlefield.
The new cast members include:
Azumi Waki as Sisbell Lou Nebulis IX.
And Aya Hisakawa as Millavair Lou Nebulis VIII.
The original Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World light novels are published in Japan by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint, and an English language version is available from Yen Press, who describe the story of the series as follows:
A great war has raged for years between the scientifically advanced Empire and Nebulis, the realm of the witches-until the youngest knight ever to receive the title of the Empire's strongest meets the princess of the rival nation. Though they are sworn enemies, the knight is taken by her beauty and dignity, and the princess is moved by his strength and way of life. Will the fighting between them ever be allowed to end?
Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World is directed by Shin Ōnuma and Mirai Minato and features animation production by SILVER LINK.. The series will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:
- AT-X: every Wednesday during the 23:30 time slot beginning on October 07, 2020, with repeat broadcasts on Fridays at 15:30 and Tuesdays at 7:30.
- Asahi Broadcasting Corporation: every Wednesday during the 26:14 time slot beginning on October 07, 2020.
- TOKYO MX: every Wednesday during the 25:35 time slot beginning on October 07, 2020.
- TV Aichi: every Thursday during the 26:35 time slot beginning on October 08, 2020.
- BS11: every Friday during the 25:00 time slot beginning on October 09, 2020.
Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 26:14 time slot on Wednesday evening is actually at 2:14am JST on Thursday morning.
Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World will also be simulcast in the United States by Funimation.
