Last month saw the reveal of Higurashi When They Cry Mei, an upcoming free-to-play mobile game that's due out on iOS and Android devices in Japan sometime this summer. Series creator Ryukishi07 is cooperating on a new story for the game, which features a script by Kiichi Kanou and music by Motoi Sakuraba. While we wait for more details, you can see the cast of characters zip by in the first trailer below.
New characters featured in the visual and trailer include:
Ichiho Kimiyoshi - Mayu Sagara (Chiako in Idol Time PriPara)
Miyuki Akasaka - Miyuki Sawashiro (Kurapika in Hunter x Hunter)
Nao Ootori - Rie Takahashi (Emilia in Re:ZERO)
Pre-registration opened for the game in Japan near the end of July. Higurashi When They Cry Mei will have in-app purchases when it launches.
