Summer Break Gets Weird in "Deji" Meets Girl Short Form TV Anime

Maise Higa is surprised by a series of shocking, seemingly supernatural events in a scene from the upcoming "Deji" Meets Girl short form TV anime.

 

Summer vacation is a time for strange encounters in "Deji" Meets Girl, an upcoming short form TV anime about a high school girl whose dull part time job at her family's hotel in Okinawa takes a turn for the unusual with the arrival of a visitor from the mainland. The main staff has been revealed for the series, including:

"Deji" Meets Girl follows the adventures of Maise Higa, a 16 year old high school student who is pressed into helping out as a part-time front desk clerk at her family's hotel in Okinawa. What seems like a boring way to spend her summer break takes a strange turn with the arrival of "Ichiro Suzuki", a guest from the mainland who brings weird phenomena with him, such as fish floating in midair and an enormous banyan tree sprouting through the roof of the hotel. "Deji" is an Okinawan word that means "troublesome" or "a lot".

 

"Deji" Meets Girl will broadcast as part of the "Oshiri" segment of the Mainichi Broadcasting System / Tokyo Broadcasting System "Super Animeism" programming block beginning in October of 2021. Each episode of the series will be approximately 90 seconds in length.
