Gamers Level Up at Life in Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki TV Anime PV

Tomozaki begins to come out of his anti-social shell with a faint smile in a scene from the upcoming Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki TV anime.

Heads up, gamers! A new preview video has been published for Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki (known in Japan as Jaku-chara Tomozaki-kun), an upcoming TV anime based on the romantic comedy light novel series written by Yuki Yaku and illustrated by Fly about a boy and a girl who become more sociable by treating life like a video game.

The original Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki light novels are published in Japan by Shogakukan under their Gagaga Bunko imprint, and an English language adaptation of the series is also available from Yen Press, who describe the story as follows:

Tomozaki is one of the best gamers in Japan, and in his opinion, the game of real life is one of the worst. No clear-cut rules for success, horribly balanced, and nothing makes sense. But then he meets a gamer who's just as good as him, and she offers to teach him a few exploits...

The Bottom-Tier Tomozaki TV anime is directed by Shinsuke Yanagi and features animation production by project No.9. The series will broadcast in Japan on AT-X and TOKYO MX beginning on January 08, 2021, with an additional broadcast to follow on BS11 beginning on January 09, 2021.
