After the arrest of Act-Age writer, Tatsuya Matsuki, for allegedly sexually assaulting multiple high school girls, the manga, which was running in Weekly Shonen Jump was canceled, leaving the illustrator, Shiro Usazaki – who penned a letter in support of the victims – without an ongoing manga series.

Usazaki announced today on her Twitter account that she'll be pairing up with writer Osamu Ishikawa for a one-shot in Weekly Shonen Jump's combined issue next week titled Flame-eyed Cyclops. The one-shot will have 47 pages as well as a color page.

Ishikawa previously published a one-shot on the Shonen Jump+ app called Rainy Day Friendship Bracelet that was released in Japanese on October 23, 2020, as well as a manga titled Wild Alice on the Shonen Jump rookie website. Ishikawa was previously an office worker before making manga.

It has not been announced if Flame-eyed Cyclops will be released in English.
