The bombardment of new game announcements during today's Inside Xbox briefing included Second Extinction, a game that was teased last month by developer Systemic Reaction, the Avalanche Studios Group that developed Generation Zero.
While three-player cooperative shooters seem to be a popular mold for game developers these days, this one pits you against mutated dinosaurs so it instantly gets a pass (kidding). These undead thunder lizards have taken over the planet and you need to eliminate them and they appear approach your team in groups. You are just a lowly survivor, but it just happens Earth is loaded with weapons and you can use them to blow the living hell out of these dinosaurs, which include what raptors with plants on their heads. There also appears to be a t-rex.
No release date or other details were given at this time, but I can't wait to see more of this wild looking game.
