Maaya Sakamoto Performs Theme Song for Fate/Grand Order Anime Film's 1st Part

The official website for the upcoming two-part anime film Fate/Grand Order - Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot has announced that voice actress/singer Maaya Sakamoto performs the theme song "Dokuhaku" (Monologue) for its first part -Wandering; Agateram-.

Sakamoto wrote the lyrics for the song by herself, and Takahito Uchisawa (rock band androp vocalist/guitarist) served as the composer/arranger. He previously collaborated with Sakamoto on her 24th single in 2014, "Replica." Nasu Kinoko, the creator of the Fate series, has said that he was influenced by the song when he was working on the scenario for the Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot game, and this song has been also popular among the players of the "FGO" game series.

Message from Maaya Sakamoto:

"I asked the director how he wanted to portray the last scene of the first part and connect it to the second. I thought carefully about its role as a theme song, then completed this song named 'Dokuhaku' (Monologue). After the last scene, I'm sure that you'll be staring at the end roll and unable to stand up in the theater, snuggling up to the various emotions swirling inside Bedivere. I think we created a suitable song to be played at that moment. Please experience it in the theater."

The first part, Fate/Grand Order - Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot -Wandering; Agateram- is set to be released in Japan on August 15, 2020. The release date for the second part -Paladin: Agateram- has not yet been finalized.
