Is the Death Penalty the Best Solution to the Trump Problem?

Source: www.debatepolitics.com - Saturday, October 26, 2019
Once Trump is impeached and removed from office, is the best way to shut him up forever and restore faith in our system of government simply to charge him with treason, convict him in a court of law with a jury of his peers, and inject poison into his bloodstream on live television so that the world can watch his own throat choke himself out? Orange. Red. Purple. Blue. Black. Is that too much? Or do we want to sit through the Apprentice: the Ex Presidential Edition Part 1 of 26 (extended through 2045, with Trump contractually to be replaced by Uday or Qusay Trump at the time of Bloat's natural death)? Historically, killing a failed dictator (in a Constitutional manner, in our case) tends to be the quickest way to restore stability to a nation. In short, after he's done, do we still want this fat **** around? A side benefit: we'd silence the angry, semi-sane oldsters with a gun in every cupboard for a while, who would eventually die natural deaths hidden in bunkers installed at their own great expense. On occasion, even the left needs to blow somebody's brains out. Counterarguments?
