Dylan Cease and John Parke spun gems, while Jimmy Lambert had a rare off-game Indianapolis Indians 2, Charlotte Knights 0 He Gone! @DylanCease gets the strikeout to keep the game scoreless after 5 in Indianapolis. #NextSox pic.twitter.com/Io3M5cSy06 — Charlotte Knights (@KnightsBaseball) May 30, 2019 Danny Mendick: 1-for-4, 0 BB, 1 K (.269 BA, .791 OPS) Daniel Palka: 0-for-3, 1 BB, 0 K (.273 BA, .975 OPS) Zack Collins: 0-for-4, 0 BB, 2 K (.248 BA, .897 OPS) Dylan Cease: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K (3.26 ERA, 1.34 WHIP) **MVP** It would have been a big loser of a game for the Knights if not for Dylan Cease. The offense, well, was terrible. The Knights only reached base six times (four hits and two walks) and struck out 10 times. On top of that, only Paulo Orlando collected an extra-base hit. Now, to the good part. Cease went seven strong innings while only allowing two runs. He threw 65 strikes compared to 35 balls, which did result in two walks. His command was much better this time out, though he did not generate many strikeouts. But for any pitcher in Triple-A this year, seven innings and two runs allowed is fantastic, even if the Knights lost 2-0.
