Brandon McManus is the league’s highest-ranked kicker through the first three weeks of the regular season according to Pro Football Focus. Good morning, Broncos Country. When it comes to Pro Football Focus and their ranking system — sometimes we love them , sometimes we don’t . However, we chalk up today’s morning news regarding kicker Brandon McManus in the “We love it!” category. According to Pro Football Focus, McManus is the highest-ranked kicker in the league through three games this season with an overall grade of 80.8. I’m not exactly certain how they calculate grades for kickers, but by my calculations — he gets a perfect 100 — because he hasn’t missed anything thus far! To date, McManus is a perfect 4/4 on field goals with a long of 53, including a 36-yard game-winning kick against the Oakland Raiders . He has also been a perfect 7/7 on extra points. After all, his knack for big-time kicks and coming through in the clutch was the reason why Broncos Country gave him the nickname McMoney several years ago.
