Uta no Prince-sama 2nd Concert Film Has Sold 500,000 Tickets in 4 Weeks

MANTAN WEB has reported that the cumulative total box office gross of Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Maji LOVE ST☆RISH TOURS has surpassed 770 million yen (5.32 million USD) on 500,000 ticket sales in four weeks since its release.

Following the commercially successful Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Maji LOVE Kingdom in 2019, Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Maji LOVE ST☆RISH TOURS, the 65-minute second concert film featuring ST☆RISH from the Uta no Prince-sama franchise, was released in 128 theaters across Japan on September 2, then made its seventh place debut with the first three-day gross of 140 million yen (968,000 USD). Its first day gross of 69.61 million yen was an impressive 163 percent of that of the first film. It also received critical acclaim, ranking No.1 on Filmarks' first day satisfaction ranking with an average rating of 4.59/5.0 on 119 reviews.

In its second weekend, that film gained even more momentum. It ranked fourth, which was three positions up from its debut weekend's seventh. In its third weekend, the film still kept the same fourth position, bringing its total to 580 million yen (4.04 million USD).

The film's fifth week theatergoers from September 30 will receive an instant photo card autographed by the idols featuring scenes from the TV special Uta no Prince-sama: Maji LOVE ST☆RISH TOURS ~Tabi no Hajimari ~ (seven types).
